A look back at 2009.............January

~As I begin my blogging journey I would like to start off with a quick look back at this past year of 2009 and reminisce with a few stories and photos from each month. It was a good year for the Kamakani family.....let me show you!~

January 2009

In January, 2009 we celebrated the 1st birthday of our daughter Jaycie! In true local style we decided to throw her a huge birthday "luau" but with our own crazy twist.

We had the most amazing Mad Hatter party ever!
There was a crazy topsy turvy cake, we asked everyone to wear the weirdest hat they could find, and the decorations were in every color imaginable.
Besides amazing tea party food, we had all kinds of fun for the kids (and adults young at heart): bounce house, face painting, cookie
decorating, bunny petting zoo, croquet, bubble machine, over-sized horseshoe game, bean bag toss, and a hat contest!
It was a great success and everyone had a wonderful time and we're never doing that again!!! whew!
